Quote of the time period (day, week, month):
"It's a sad statement about the Church today, in my opinion,
that the Church should be the one institution in the world where the tired and
heavy-laden can come and find rest and often what they get instead are to-do lists."

This is my first Christmas song.
I was thinking about my good friend Mary, who went home to be with Jesus recently
and reminiscing about Christmas when I was a child so I wrote this tune to capture that moment.
Love you Mary and will miss you.

"What Christmas Means To Me"

This is a new song written last week (9/26) and anyone who has heard it
has said it is one of the best they have heard from me.
I hope it blesses you too.

"He Is Good"

This is a video most of my siblings and I made for our sister Meagan on her 29th (haha) birthday...
"Megs B-Day vid!"

A song for those who wish to be like Jesus
This song is about two different types of Christians that are everywhere today and lets just say
they are of limited use to God... and it might not be who you think! It was recorded with Impact and my buddy
Brad Collins on guitar and background vox! Love you BUDDY!
The tune is a hidden track on our 2001 CD entitled "Witness".
It was just a practice recording but it is still pretty powerful.
"At The Door"

I'm really starting to enjoy some of the old-timey stuff lately.
It's just deep. I had someone at Fort Hudson ask me to learn this
song so I did and I love it. I decided even though every version
I heard it in was 3/4 I'd do it in 4/4. I succeeded except during
the chorus when I go back to 3/4 for a couple of bars.
I hope you enjoy it. :-)

"Peace In the Valley"

My latest/greatest written 7/5/2014 and recorded the next day - then re-recorded 7/12.
It's about learning to live with joy even when there is pain in our lives.
It's called "What If ?" - Please take a few minutes to read the lyrics if
they come too quickly and I hope the song helps you along the way.

"What If?"

Tune from 10 years ago (2004) written for the piano.
I felt scared but not alone.
I had hope even though I was ignoring Jesus at the time.
when i turned I found He had always been right there... and still is.

"Last Day"

New tune - very country with lots of fiddle.
Hope you enjoy!

"Getting Better"

Holy cow. Another new tune. (2/1/2014)
That makes 3 in 10 days or so.
You will not be able to forget this song.

Hi. A new tune (1/2014) for you all about finding peace
and how hard it is to keep it when we do stumble across it.

"My Elusive Peace"

Hi all - This is the new tune I've been plugging for a few weeks.
I think it's about one of the most important things a person can do - serve others
and why I believe it's a necessary component if you want to "Live Life Alive"!
I hope you enjoy it - and if you're missing something I hope it spurs you on to something more.
BTW - This took forever to record and you can actually hear me playing drums
...or as close as I come with only a few months of playing.

"Live Life Alive"

Hi. A new song unlike anything I've written in a long while.
If you like the stuff from 20+ years ago, check this out.

"Up Looking Down"

Hey - I finally wrote a song with lyrics again. It has been a few months
This is just a song I wrote and I like it! Hope you do too.

"The Rainbow"

OK - Now for something completely out of the ordinary
I have decided to put up something I just started doing this week
and I am going to call them RonJams (unless one of you has a better suggestion!)
They consist of me moving from instrument to instrument and layering parts
then soloing over the top with piano or guitar or violin -
or maybe even a ukulele - who knows! They are all completely spontaneous
so anything can happen - including a goof here and there. :-)
If the religious aspect of my music gets to you try these as they are music only and are
completely different then my stuff with lyrics. All glory still goes to God though
I'm just using a gift He gave me to bless some of you so some of you
might give Jesus a shot to show you His love - because make no mistake - He does love you so...
OK - Enough preaching. :-)
Let me know if you like them on FB or YouTube
and as always - Thanks for listening!

December 21st, 2013 - "Oh Holy Night"

A finger-picked classical guitar, I'm singing the melody and violin for a little somethin' somethin'.
...and the instrumental version
"Oh Holy Night" - Instrumental
Merry Christmas all!

December 15th, 2013 - "Merry Little Christmas"

First test for the new condensor mics! A finger-picked acoustic guitar, picked classical guitar for the melody and violin.
Let me know what you think.

Arranged for string orchestra.

November 30th, 2013 - "Silent Night"
Arranged for two classical guitars.

November 23rd, 2013 - "Soulful Samba Fusion"
If any of you know what that title means - please let me know! :-)

November 16th, 2013 - "Snap or Clap"

November 10th, 2013 - "Happy Birthday Blues!"

"Jacqui's Wedding March"

July 7th, 2013 - "Bluesy Strut"
Nice little straight blues progression in G featuring my newest studio addition
an electric guitar my buddy Ben graciously donated to the cause! What a bud.
I hope to get a lot of use out of it!
BTW - If you don't smile and bob your head at some point during this check your pulse!

RonJam from 6/24/13. This one took a couple of days to get together as there isn't
much free time between work and my little ladies playing
all-star softball right now. Wouldn't miss it though! Anyway - here it is:
"Ready, Set, Go!"
and the video on YouTube:
This video is different as I have also added some info about the tune and how it
came about in this warped mind of mine! I hope you'll share them all if you enjoy them!

OK - Here's my shot at the 2nd verse of Amazing Grace. I thought the first came out
too "reverby" so I did the lead vocals with a higher level of reverb separately and recorded it first
but mixed it with the other three parts last. Re-EQ'd and listened and decided I like it (for now!)
I also cut out the low bom bom bass part
because I just didn't like the way I sounded doing it.
Hope you enjoy watching this thing come together!
Thanks for listening.
Amazing Grace (verse 2)

My first attempt at a barbershop quartet, the first verse of Amazing Grace. I'm going to do a verse
here and there as the Spirit moves and we will see how (or at least if) my 4-part stuff develops as I practice.
The recording has a little buzz (cheap microphones) in the background but I hope you enjoy it anyhow!
Amazing Grace (verse 1)

Well - It wasn't the last one for a few days. They are just so much fun to make!
"Freestyle Duel"
June 17th, 2013

OK - This one kept me up late! It will probably be the last for a few days but it is pretty cool (IMO, of course):-)
"Monday Morning Drive"
June 16th, 2013

June 15th, 2013 pm
Another bouncy tune - I like bouncy
Has God blessed you today?

June 15th, 2013 - "Sunrise Salutation"
I'm not a big yoga guy but if you do yoga this sounds like something it might be nice to do yoga to.
Personally, I think it sounds a little like the music in a video game I used to play. :-)

June 14th, 2013 - "Still Smilin'"

June 14th, 2013 - "Happy Friday"

June 13th, 2013 - first time!

"Always The Same"

I had a realization last week while reading the headlines and wrote a song about it. Hope you enjoy it!
What I realized is that
"I'm A Religious Zealot!"
...and I think that's GRAND!
